Meeting of the President of The Mandaean World Congress with the Director of his Office in Australia.

On Thursday, 19/7/2024, a meeting was held between the President of The Mandaean World Congress, Mr. Fouad Chasib Sobbi, and Mr. Murshid Naim Amer, Director of his Office in Sydney with the presence of Mr. Munther Naim Amer, Head of the Congress’s Media Office.

The meeting addressed the next steps in the work of the Congress, the tasks assigned to it, and the development of future plans to support the work in Australia. This office has a unique character that distinguishes it from other offices of the Congres, given the presence of the President in Sydney and the location of the largest Mandaean Community gathering in the world, which is in Australia. This requires greater effort to provide significant momentum to the work of the organization, especially since Mr. Murshid has significant experience and extensive relationships with all Mandaean and non-Mandaean organizations and communities, as well as public relations in Sydney.

At the end of the meeting, the congress President wished Mr. Murshid every success in his work in this position and pledged to overcome any difficulties facing his work.

Meeting of the President of the World Mandaean Congress with the Mayor of Liverpool

Mr. Fouad Chasib Sobbi, President of the Mandaean World Congress, and Mr. Murshid Naeem Amer, Director of the Office of the President of the Congress in Australia, attended a meeting on Friday, November 1, 2024, with Mr. Ned Menon, Mayor of Liverpool, to congratulate him on his re-election as Mayor and to congratulate the new members of the City Council. Mr. Fouad Sobbi wished the Mayor every success in his work and emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation with the municipality and members of the Mandaean community for the benefit of the multicultural Australian society. The delegation also included His Eminence Reshma Salah Jabouri, President of the Mandaean Community in Australia, and His Eminence Reshma Professor Haitham Saeed, in addition to a number of distinguished religious leaders and members of the community. This visit is being coordinated with the Transitional Authority of the General Council of the Mandaean Community. At the end of the meeting, the conference delegation thanked Mr. Ned Menon for his warm welcome and hospitality.
